The Blind Kitchen's Portion Scoop has a stainless steel one-ounce capacity when filled and leveled, ensuring accurate portions for even cooking and attractive presentations. We believe this is the perfect size for meatballs and small cookies. The handle is made of food-grade sturdy plastic. While there are many portion scoop designs, after testing we found this to be better than the scoops that push the food out with a lever. Depending on the food inside, the lever often only pushes out the food in the center of the cavity requiring us to dig in with our fingers to remove the food that remains. Uck! The Blind Kitchen Portion Scoop has a curved wire that runs across the back of the scoop when you press the side lever resulting in the scoop of food coming out completely.
