Artist Yoshiko Yamamoto is a self-taught block printmaker who strives always to fuse Japanese design sensibility with fine craftsmanship. Several years ago, Nawal Motawi, a longtime admirer of Yoshiko's work, approached her for a collaboration. Motawi thought Yamamoto's bold prints would work well as a raised-line tile.

Among all the springtime visitors to our garden, the lively chickadees are our favorite. Always chattering 'chick-a-dee-dee-dee', these tiny birds never seem to tire and amuse us with their playful acrobatics!- Yoshiko Yamamoto

Our quarter-sawn oak frames, handmade by Dard Hunter Studios, are available with a natural Oak or Ebony finish. They can hang horizontally or vertically, or perch on our large easels. Frame features include mitered corners and stapled joints.

Motawi tiles are striking art pieces and installation accents. Each tile is made by hand and with heart in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We embrace variation and handmade beauty: Our time-honored methods produce a nuanced range of color with depth and translucence.

Drawing inspiration from aged cement tiles, the SomerTile 13-1/8 in. X 13-1/8 in. Lema Decor Jet Mix brings a muted, patchwork encaustic look to any home. Six varying old-world patterns are randomly mixed in each case, offering these Spanish muted brown and gray toned tiles an authentic, worn feel.
